Content Authoring

Simplifying a complex system to create an efficient, user-friendly production tool

Pearson acquired an authoring platform to accelerate their shift from print to digital—1,800+ titles, millions of students. The tool had potential but had evolved without a design system, creating production bottlenecks and a fragmented experience that slowed the entire content pipeline. This design initiative, spearheaded by my design team, successfully gained stakeholder support through rigorous research, iterative prototyping, and extensive user testing with the production team. Our user-centered approach effectively addressed the challenges of publishing and updating both modern and legacy educational content creation while streamlining the production workflow.
